How-To Hybrid Exchange? Register only until 13.10.

From 16.10. to 8.11. the one-month multiplier training "Successful team-building in modern youth exchange: analogue, digital or hybrid?" will take place on DINA. The training consists of a 4-week asynchronous work phase on DINA and two online meetings in the middle and at the end of the training. The training is the first module of the training series "Digitales Wir-Gefühl - Jugendaustausch hybrid gestalten" and is aimed at teachers who organise international projects as well as specialists in international youth work.

In the training, participants acquire an understanding of the different formats of exchange (analogue, digital, hybrid) and the ability to identify their opportunities and challenges. Participants will learn that hybrid formats need to be managed differently than purely digital or analogue formats and will also be able to assess where digital exchange offers a valuable addition to their services. In addition, the five steps of digital team building are taught. Participants receive working materials and acquire competences for independent implementation of the training format. In the asynchronous work phase on DINA, participants work on their own hybrid project ideas and give each other feedback on them. The end product can therefore be an individual hybrid project concept. Participants will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the training.

You can find more information about the training here. You can register directly via the event on DINA by 13 October.
The training is free of charge and will be held in German.

Next DINA training: 24.10. and 26.10. 10:00 to 12:00

How can I use DINA for my exchange organisation's projects and ideas? How do I create a project on DINA and how do I conduct an online meeting? And how best to use cloud and video conferencing features to make my next project a success?

These and many more questions will be answered at the next DINA training. On 24th and 26th October** from 10:00 to 12:00 (CET) each day. We will interactively familiarise ourselves with the structure and functions of the platform and create some initial content. Then it becomes clear: with a little introduction, many great ideas can be playfully implemented on DINA.

DINA.International Newsletter 07 2023

Dear DINA.international community,

we hope you had a good start into the summer. A lot has happened at DINA in the last few months. In our first newsletter of 2023 we would like to inform you about the latest developments, tools and dates at DINA.

Successful start of the trainer search
We have already introduced the trainer search in a previous newsletter. In the meantime, many users have registered their skills, so that you will find someone there for many purposes. Click through the individual subcategories and try out the various filter functions. For example, are you looking for Polish interpreters or exchange facilitators with expertise in the field of inclusion? You will now find what you are looking for in the trainer search.
If you would like to make your skills available to others in international youth work, you can easily specify this in your Profile Settings. Then you can also be found in the search for trainers.

You would like to receive the next newsletter by email?
Then configure your Notification settings to receive notification emails. You will then receive the next DINA newsletter directly in your email inbox.

DINA Study
As some of you may have noticed, we conducted an evaluation on the use of DINA in cooperation with the JFF - Institute for Media Education. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated and helped us with their feedback!
The study showed that many people especially appreciate the conference function of DINA. In addition, the interpretation tool in video conferences is very popular. Many also appreciate DINA's multilingualism, as well as the generally wide range of tools. This is a great confirmation of the effort that has already been put into DINA. Thanks for that!
Of course, there is also criticism about the implementation of some functions. For example, many are dissatisfied with the chat function on DINA and complain that the platform is too complex. In addition, many users would like to see more networking functions on DINA. We take criticism and suggestions to heart and are working on adapting DINA even more to your needs. We are already working with our partner Wechange to simplify the dashboard. So stay tuned!
Even beyond the evaluation, we are always interested in your feedback. If you have any suggestions or criticism regarding individual tools or DINA in general, just write us: julian.may-johann@striftung-drja.de

Are you already using the Premium Conferences?
One of the main functions of DINA are conferences, where you can hold video conferences with BigBlueButton. A special feature of conferences is that you can also register them as PREMIUM CONFERENCES.
Premium means: Only the best quality for you and the whole thing completely free of charge, so really without hidden costs.
In concrete terms this means: If you use a premium conference, your conference will run on a more powerful server with a bandwidth guaranteed by us. This not only allows you to use additional features like streaming and recording (see below), but also guarantees a higher quality and stability. For this you only have to fill out a form, so that depending on the number of participants and duration the required server capacity can be reserved for you, which we hereby warmly recommend.

Additional features streaming and recording
By using a premium conference, even more features are available to you. For example, you can record your video conferences for later use or stream them live on video portals such as YouTube or Vimeo. Streaming is interesting if you expect many participants for your planned online conference. In addition, the video conference is then documented on the platform and can also be shared further. A recorded video conference can be edited and downloaded.
Here you can find the link to the manual for a detailed instruction of these features.
