Interest in school exchange with a German school

Hello
Our school is the 2nd Junior High School of Ioannina Intercultural Education. The city of Ioannina is located in the northwestern part of Greece. Our school is attended by students with refugee and migrant background. There is quite a lot of interest in learning German among our students.

An exchange with a school in Germany would help to learn the language better, to get to know the German culture, customs and traditions of the country whose language our students are learning and to exchange experiences and views on issues that concern young people in general.

We would like to start exchanges with pupils from the second and third grades, aged 13-15

Ioannina has a rich history both as a city and in terms of its culture and customs. Therefore, we would like to organise an exchange on topics related to historical memory, culture, the history of the city or education in democracy, but also on issues such as sustainability, digital education and diversity. Any school interested in exchanging students on one or a combination of the above topics can contact us.
The exchange can take place within the framework of the Greek-German Youth Foundation EGIN https://dgjw-egin.org/el/ .
But we can also discuss other proposals e.g. Erasmus+
We can also begin an eTwinning project to know each other!
My colleague Magdalene Douka is a German language teacher thus we can communicate in German too.
Thank you for your attention
