Dear DINA.international community,

the Digital Transformer Days deal with the digital future of international youth work and learning mobility. Sessions, keynotes, a digital café and interactive methods enable exchange, experimentation and peer-to-peer learning over two days. The focus is on you: In the BarCamp sessions, you share and discuss your experiences with experts and practitioners from different fields such as non-formal education, youth work and digitalisation.

The European and International Youth Work Centres and Funding Agencies cordially invite you to participate in the Digital Transformer Days.

Target group

• Professionals in international youth work, youth workers, project leaders, trainers.
• Interested parties from research, associations, politics, and practice who deal with digital transformation in non-formal settings.

Working languages
In plenary: German, English, French, Polish, Czech (simultaneous interpretation)
In the BarCamp sessions: In the sessions, the working language will be agreed upon by the participants. A basic knowledge of English is recommended; on request, we will do our best to provide language mediation.

From 16.10. to 8.11. the one-month multiplier training "Successful team-building in modern youth exchange: analogue, digital or hybrid?" will take place on DINA. The training consists of a 4-week asynchronous work phase on DINA and two online meetings in the middle and at the end of the training. The training is the first module of the training series "Digitales Wir-Gefühl - Jugendaustausch hybrid gestalten" and is aimed at teachers who organise international projects as well as specialists in international youth work.

In the training, participants acquire an understanding of the different formats of exchange (analogue, digital, hybrid) and the ability to identify their opportunities and challenges. Participants will learn that hybrid formats need to be managed differently than purely digital or analogue formats and will also be able to assess where digital exchange offers a valuable addition to their services. In addition, the five steps of digital team building are taught. Participants receive working materials and acquire competences for independent implementation of the training format. In the asynchronous work phase on DINA, participants work on their own hybrid project ideas and give each other feedback on them. The end product can therefore be an individual hybrid project concept. Participants will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the training.

wir hoffen, ihr seid gut in den Sommer gestartet. In den letzten Monaten hat sich einiges bei DINA getan. In unserem ersten Newsletter 2023 wollen wir euch über die neuesten Entwicklungen, Tools und Termine bei DINA informieren.

Trainer:innensuche erfolgreich gestartet
Wir haben euch die Trainer:innensuche schon in einem früheren Newsletter vorgestellt. In der Zwischenzeit haben sich schon viele Nutzer:innen mit ihren Fähigkeiten eingetragen, sodass ihr dort für viele Zwecke fündig werdet. Klickt euch doch mal durch die einzelnen Unterkategorien und probiert die diversen Filterfunktionen aus. Sucht ihr beispielsweise Dolmetscher:innen fürs Polnische oder Austauschbegleiter:innen mit Expertise beim Thema Inklusion? In der Trainer:innensuche werdet ihr jetzt fündig.
Wenn ihr selbst eure Fähigkeiten anderen in der internationalen Jugendarbeit zur Verfügung stellen wollt, könnt ihr das übrigens ganz einfach in euren Profil-Einstellungen angeben. Dann könnt auch ihr in der Trainer:innensuche gefunden werden.

DINA Studie
Wie einige von euch mitbekommen haben, haben wir in Zusammenarbeit mit dem JFF - Institut für Medienpädagogik eine Evaluation zur Nutzung von DINA durchgeführt. An dieser Stelle noch einmal vielen Dank an alle, die daran teilgenommen haben und uns mit ihrem Feedback weitergeholfen haben!
In der Studie wurde ersichtlich, dass viele an DINA vor allem die Tagungsfunktion schätzen. Außerdem erfreut sich das Dolmetsch-Tool in Videokonferenzen großer Beliebtheit. Auch die Mehrsprachigkeit von DINA schätzen viele, sowie das generell breite Angebot an Tools. Das ist eine tolle Bestätigung für die Mühe, die schon in DINA geflossen ist. Danke dafür!
Natürlich gibt es aber auch Kritik an der Umsetzung von einigen Funktionen. So sind viele mit der Chat-Funktion auf DINA eher unzufrieden und beklagen, dass die Plattform zu unübersichtlich ist. Außerdem wünschen sich viele Nutzer:innen vermehrt Vernetzungs-Funktionen auf DINA. Wir nehmen uns Kritik und Anregungen zu Herzen und arbeiten daran DINA noch mehr an eure Bedürfnisse anzupassen. Schon jetzt arbeiten wir etwa zusammen mit unserem Partner Wechange an einer Vereinfachung des Dashboards. Seid also gespannt!

Nutzt ihr schon die Premiumtagungen?
Eine Hauptfunktion von DINA sindTagungen, in denen ihr Videokonferenzen mit BigBlueButton durchführen könnt. Eine Besonderheit bei Tagungen ist, dass ihr diese auch als PREMIUMTAGUNGEN anmelden könnt.
Premium heißt: Nur die beste Qualität für euch und das Ganze auch noch komplett kostenfrei, also wirklich ohne versteckte Kosten.
Ganz konkret bedeutet das: Wenn ihr eine Premiumtagung nutzt, läuft eure Konferenz auf einem leistungsstärkeren Server mit einer von uns zugesicherten Bandbreite. Hierdurch sind nicht nur die Nutzung zusätzlicher Features wie Streaming und Aufzeichnung (siehe weiter unten) möglich, sondern es kann eben auch eine größere Qualität und Stabilität garantiert werden. Hierzu müsst ihr lediglich ein Formular ausfüllen, damit je nach Teilnehmendenzahl und Dauer die benötigte Serverkapazität für euch reserviert werden kann, was wir euch hiermit wärmstens empfehlen.

Zusatzfeatures Streaming und Aufzeichnung
Durch die Nutzung einer Premiumkonferenz stehen euch noch mehr Features zur Verfügung. Beispielsweise könnt ihr damit eure Videokonferenzen für den späteren Gebrauch aufzeichnen oder direkt auf Videoportalen wie YouTube oder Vimeo live streamen. Streaming ist dann interessant, wenn ihr für eure geplante Onlinekonferenz viele Teilnehmende erwartet. Außerdem ist die Videokonferenz dann auf der Plattform gespeichert dokumentiert und kann zusätzlich weiter geteilt werden. Eine aufgezeichnete Videokonferenz kann wiederum weiterbearbeitet und auch heruntergeladen werden.
