November 22–24, 2022, Berlin
Bilateral Conference for Professionals of Youth Work and Education from Germany and Israel
Questioning stereotypes and prejudices about “others” is central to the learning process of any youth exchange program. Face-to-face encounters open up spaces in which young people build new relationships, adopt diverse perspectives, experience different identities, and gain insights into diverse realities of life.
Together with educational professionals from Germany and Israel, we will discuss how education and encounter projects counteract prejudice. In panels, keynote speeches and workshops we want to gather the challenges as well as the necessary conditions for successful exchanges and encounters acting against discrimination and structures of prejudice. Numerous representatives from Israeli and German encounter projects as well as from German-Israeli exchange will therefore have their say.
